BIO 

German Romanov - Candidate for Student Senator

Passionate. Determined. Collaborative. These three words best describe who I am and how I approach leadership. As a freshman majoring in Economics at Brooklyn College, I am eager to serve as a Student Senator to hear and amplify student voices and to ensure effective and beneficial changes to our campus. 

Originally from Russia, I moved to the United States in 2022 and quickly learned the value of strong student advocacy. Navigating in the new academic system and environment demonstrated to me how crucial it is for students to have access to clear resources, open communication with administration, and financial aid transparency. I believe every student should be heard and supported in their college experience. 

My vision as Student Senator is to build up a student-faculty dialogue, promote better academic support, and advocate for reforms and policies that benefit all students - from first-year students who are just starting to adapt to college life to seniors preparing for life after graduation. I am not just here to listen. I am here to take action. 

Beyond academics, I am driven by passion for community building and creating a meaningful change. Whether it’s organizing initiatives, collaborating with fellow students, or advocating for better resources, I am committed to being a voice for you.
