BIO

Hey yalll! My name is Farida Zaki, and I’m an Egyptian majoring in Health and Nutrition Science here at Brooklyn College. I currently serve as the Vice President of Kopelman Toastmasters, Event Coordinator of Bridges for Yemen and I am an active member of the MSA club. I love learning about different cultures and religions, Ill be excited to be on USG.

I believe being a Senate member can really help me make the difference for Brooklyn College. One of my goals is, fostering a supportive student environment, where students succeed academically and socially.

I promise to promote overall inclusivity in our communities in Brooklyn College no matter where we come from. I will nurture student organizations, ensuring they align with the values and mission of Brooklyn College. In this role, I will work to create an environment where student groups not only thrive but are also given the resources and guidance necessary to succeed.

I know I can really make a difference as these intentions come from MY HEART, and I am passionate about resolving these problems.

Additionally my past experiences include managing projects like when I volunteered  with Islamic Relief leading a team to help build a water filtration system in Sudan. This experience has taught me the importance of teamwork to create change while also equipped me with a strong foundation in problem-solving.

For me, it’s about making sure no student feels isolated and unsupported, especially when it comes to academics and social life categories of college.

I’m deeply committed to fostering a safe, welcoming space for everyone, helping ease the discomfort some students feel, and building meaningful connections that make our college community feel like home. I’m eager to give back in any way I can. LETS EMPOWER BC STUDENTS TOGETHER 🥳

Vote for me, and let’s work together to make Brooklyn College a place where every student thrives!"
